About Erik Bowman
Always at the forefront of innovation, founder Erik Bowman saw a need for fast, on-the-spot multi media micro blogging service and immediately set out to develop Spoink; an unprecedented service integrating blogging, podcast and telephony from any source. After spending a year developing this multi-faceted podcasting service into a single social media solution, Erik was first-to-market a service of this kind when he launched Spoink in first-quarter of 2008.
As a serial entrepreneur, Erik is a pioneer and creator at his core. He is a results-oriented, strategic thinker with proactive, creative and analytical capabilities. Over the past 20 plus years Erik has held senior and executive level positions in the technology field, having worked with a wide array of clients in numerous industries.
Erik is a visionary and applies his skills to create unique, forward-thinking business solutions. He has always set himself apart in his superior ability to combine business savvy with creativity and using clear communication to apply technology-based solutions to any level of an organization.
As an industry veteran, in 1997 Erik founded and developed iMessenger.com; one of the first online 'social networking' sites. Combining an online community based around groups of indiviudals with similar interests and a custom robust instant messaging client and server solution.
Over the past 11 years he has gone on to found a number of multimedia and communications companies including Talent-Exchange.com a co-branded multimedia talent portfolio service launched in 2001, VerticalAnswer.com a Hosted PBX and Telephony service provider launched in 2003, ProviderOffice.com an appointment scheduling and call center solution for healthcare providers launched in 2003, PublicityEngine.com an XML/RSS based press release service that featured syndication in most popular feed formats and PeopleScreening.com video resume hosting service for individuals with private-labeled online career center for businesses and recruiters launched in 2006.
In 2009, Erik founded Link Gateway, Inc. which is a unique advertising-based social bookmarking service and Whiz Bang Zoom Labs which provides social media marketing software.
